Kuranda Medical Centre is seeking a GP with a special interest in Women's and Indigenous Health to join our purpose-built, cohesive and busy practice on a part time or full time basis.
For GPs who are passionate about Indigenous Health and closing the gap, there are opportunities to work from the practice as well as from within the communities. We have unique team-based relationships with Community Health, Mulungu Indigenous Health Service, local Neighbourhood centre, Ngoonbi, Kuranda District State College and other local support services plus allied health professionals such as diabetic educators, dietician, podiatrist, psychologist and exercise physiologist. Co-located in the centre, are Steve King Dental group; Sullivan Nicholaides Pathology and Queensland Community Health.
We have experienced support staff with good knowledge of the community, all with many years of service to the practice.
Located in the beautiful rainforest village of Kuranda, only 30 minutes’ drive from Cairns CBD, the area has an excellent Steiner school, district state college, sporting and wellbeing exercise opportunities, rural open blocks plus excellent cafes and diverse market stalls where fresh organic produce is readily available.
